The Super Eagles
of Nigeria today crashed out of the 2017 African cup of nations to be hosted in
Gabon with a game to spare in the qualifying series after losing by a 1-0 scoreline
to the Egyptian Pharaohs in a must win game. The Eagles came into the game
knowing that nothing short of a victory will put them in pole position to qualify
for the event after drawing the first leg 1-1 in Kaduna on Friday & lagging
behind the Egyptians by two points. The only goal of the encounter was scored
by Ramadan Sobhy of Egypt in the 65th minute.
