Barcelona Woes Continues as Ronaldo-less Real Madrid Wins 2017 SuperCopa

Barcelona were comprehensively beaten & outclassed as Real-Madrid compounded their woes in the return leg of the 2017 Supercopa. Over two legs the result read 5-1 in favor of Los Blancos. The fact that Ronaldo was not on the pitch because of suspension as well as Bale & Isco starting on the bench didn't aid Barcelona's cause in any way.

The match was practically over as a contest as early as the 4th minute of play when Asensio beat Andre Ter Stegen in goal for Barcelona with a blast from from 25 yards as Real were now 4-1 on aggregate & it was going to take Barcelona to score 3 or 4 un-replied goals to either take the match to extra time or win the match out-rightly.

Benzema eventually took the match completely out of the reach of the Catalans when he blasted home from close range to take the scoreline to 2-0 on the night & 5-1 on aggregate. Neymar was sorely missed but Barcelona were very, very poor on the night as Keylor Narvas had only a single save to make through out the entire first half.

Does this defeat signal the demise of Barcelona or are they going to recover? Has Barcelona cycle of dominance come to an end or is this just a blip? Let's have your say. Drop your comments, reactions & views in the comments box
