ABOUT OIL AND GAS BUSINESS SCHOOL

Oil and Gas Business School (OGBS) have been providing Learning Events for the Petroleum/ Energy, Extractive Minerals, Government, Non-Governmental organizations and Manufacturing Industries since 1995. We are an integrated Learning and Consultancy Firm that provides broad based Learning such as Training, Coaching, Mentoring, Competency Assessment and Consulting services.

Although we have been providing these services, to Shell, Total, Chevron and other organizations, through the “PFL-Oilslick” Consult joint venture (OGBS was the joint venture’s training Arm) since 1995, it was in 2012 that OGBS formally secured the Approval of the Federal Ministry of Education and the Registration of the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC. No. 1011993), as an independent, Educational, Learning and Consulting Organization, specifically in the areas of Energy/Oil and Gas, Environment and related areas. Our Trainers and Consultants have worked for over 20 years in the
Oil and Gas industry.

Mission Statement

We deliver Learning and Consulting solutions, which combine tested Training, Coaching and Mentoring techniques, just-in-time, cost-effective, quality learning interventions, using the most practicable, academic and industry-experienced personnel, in order to achieve breakthrough performance, that addresses health, safety and environmental issues, in all sectors of the Oil and Gas, and related industries.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to become the leading Oil and Gas, as well as General Energy Management Certified Learning and Consulting services provider, and a triple degree awarding institution (in partnership with reputable international Energy oriented universities), i.e. Masters degrees in Oil and Gas Management, Energy and Environmental Management.

International University Partnerships

In this regard, we are happy to announce that in partnership with BUSINESS SCHOOL NETHERLANDS, OGBS now co-teaches internationally accredited [ACBSP and five other international accreditations] Action-Learning MBA Programs in:

- Oil & Gas Management

- Energy & Environment

Both programs are the first and only energy/ sustainability MBA programs in Nigeria.

Students are taught/study in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja, one weekend, every two months, for two years, while in employment, and graduate in the Netherlands.

RGU: Agency agreement talks are ongoing with Robert Gordon University, whose representative visited OGBS last year, with the aim of facilitating a working arrangement.

OGBS/OGBSCL is committed to delivering quality services, working in a safe, secure manner that guarantees personnel safety, health and environmental protection, energy conservation and management. In line with this, we are working towards certifying our organization and processes to such international standards, like ISO 9000 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management System).

At OGBS/OGBSCL, we have successfully integrated Quality, Environmental, Safety and Energy management issues, into all our operations through our unique Center for Renewable Energy & Environmental Management (CREEM), which offers Training and Consulting solutions, not only to the industry, but also within OGBS/OGBSCL, as an organization.
